Na coluna anterior apresentei algumas das principais caracterĂsticas do Blackberry Torch 9800. – Os teclados – Usando a Internet – Fotos e VĂdeo – Conectividade e Rede Foram mais de dois meses utilizando o smartphone que me permitiu destrinchar o aparelho e descobrir detalhes interessantes. Mas ainda tem muita coisa a falar sobre o Torch 9800. Aplicativos NĂŁo há smartphone “forte” se nĂŁo pode contar com inĂşmeros aplicativos a disposição. Tanto os aplicativos nativos que vem com o aparelho como aplicativos para serem adicionados posteriormente. O Torch 9800 vem com um nĂşmero muito grande de opções Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, , BBM BlackBerry Messenger, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, AOL Messenger, sĂł para citar alguns. Eu ainda instalei o Google Maps, LinkedIN, PrevisĂŁo de Tempo… Há aplicativo nativos muito interessantes como por exemplo o FEEDS SOCIAIS e o BLACKBERRY PROTECT. O FEEDS concentra em uma Ăşnica interface todas as novidades das redes sociais do usuário. Assim ele pode apenas acompanhar em um sĂł local. O PROTECT uma vez configurado permite que o usuário apague todos os dados do aparelho remotamente em caso de perda ou roubo, bem como atĂ© saber onde está o aparelho. Isto Ă© muito Ăştil para quem nĂŁo Ă© usuário corporativo do Blackberry pois o software BES ou BES Express BlackBerry Enterprise Server já faz isso, mas quem Ă© cliente OI, VIVO, CLARO, TIM, etc. pode usar esta funcionalidade de proteção sem custo apĂłs instalar o aplicativo. A porta de entrada para novos aplicativos Ă© o BlackBerry AppWorld, onde se encontram programas pagos e gratuitos dos mais diversos. Duração de Bateria Em suas especificações cita durabilidade em conversação de horas, 30 horas reproduzindo áudio e 6 horas reproduzindo vĂdeos. Este Ă© um ponto crĂtico de todo smartphone. O Torch 9800 Ă© muito “sensĂvel” em relação ao modo de uso. Eu explico. Na prática, em “stand-by”, sem uso efetivo, o 9800 fica atĂ© 5 dias sem precisar carregar sua bateria de cĂ©lula de lĂtio de 1300 mAhr. Por outro lado em dias que usei intensamente Internet, MSN, lendo e respondendo e-mails, falando a o telefone, nĂŁo consegui chegar em casa antes da bateria acabar. Mas ressalto que esta experiĂŞncia foi extremamente intensa, pois neste dia eu me determinei a nĂŁo usar meu notebook e sim fazer TUDO no 9800. Sendo mais comedido e com um perfil de uso mais “normal” consigo usar o 9800 por 2 dias sem precisar recarregar sua bateria. Aliás, a recarga pode ser feita por um convencional adaptador ligado na tomada bem como ligado no PC ou notebook pelo cabo USB que o acompanha. Resumindo, a bateria vai durar entre 1 e 5 dias dependendo da intensidade de uso, mĂ©dia de 2 dias. Facilidade de uso Há muitas formas para achar a operação ou função desejada no Torch 9800. Grupos de Ăcones existem para ajudar o usuário. O grupo TUDO como sugere o nome tem todas as funções do aparelho e pode ser navegada com movimento de dedo ou pelo trackpad. O grupo FREQUENTE agrupa os Ăcones mais usados pelo usuário na ordem de maior utilização. Há o grupo DOWNLOADS que contĂ©m os aplicativos que foram descarregados da Internet e instalados. Outro grupo Ă© o MĂŤDIA que reĂşne todas as funções ligadas a gravar vĂdeos, tirar fotos e visualizá-los, bem como mĂşsicas. Finalmente existe o grupo FAVORITOS no qual o usuário pode personalizar completamente inserindo as funções de sua preferĂŞncia. Em cada um destes grupos o usuário pode com movimento de dedos aumentar ou diminuir a quantidade de linhas de Ăcones sendo exibidos. Estes podem ocupar a tela toda ou apenas uma mĂnima faixa sem Ăcones que abre o conjunto de atalhos. Tudo foi muito bem pensado. Há alertas visuais e sonoros para cada tipo de evento. Por exemplo, o som emitido quando chega um email Ă© distinto do som quando alguĂ©m o chama para uma conversa no MSN tambĂ©m diferente do som quando chega uma mensagem de texto SMS, uma mensagem no Facebook, e assim por diante. Da mesma forma uma área de notificação no topo do aparelho exibe um resumo das informações pendentes de serem vistas. Na tela abaixo pode ser visto que tenho 516 e-mails na minha caixa de entrada e há e-mails nĂŁo lidos. Há tambĂ©m 3 mensagens ou notificações no Facebook. Outras informações importantes podem ser vistas neste trecho da tela. Vejo que a rede de telefonia está ativa OI, há uma rede sem fio em uso FXHOME, tenho conexĂŁo Ă Internet no modo 3G e o nĂvel de sinal do 3G e do WiFi está no máximo. Ainda no canto inferior direito da tela cima vemos uma LUPA que Ă© a ferramenta de busca UNIVERSAL do Torch 9800. Pressionando o dedo sobre a lupa posso digitar algum texto e este será buscado em qualquer local email, contatos, compromissos, Facebook, etc. E a pesquisa vai sendo feito na medida que cada tecla vai sendo digitada. Blackberry Desktop O software Blackberry Desktop instalado no PC a partir do site da RIM traz várias capacidades adicionais para o aparelho. Principalmente ferramentas para sincronizar o conteĂşdo do aparelho com o PC, de diversas formas. Fotos, mĂşsicas e vĂdeos podem estar em “sintonia” com o PC. TambĂ©m as pastas do Outlook alĂ©m de e-mail como Contatos, Tarefas e Calendário. O cartĂŁo de memĂłria micro SD que veio com o aparelho que testei tinha 4 Gb mas o 9800 aceita atĂ© micro SD de 32 Gb. Dessa forma uma infinidade de fotos, vĂdeos e mĂşsicas pode ser armazenados. TambĂ©m backup do dispositivo pode ser feito com o BB desktop. No começo do teste tive uma pequena decepção pois meu Windows 7 Professional Ă© 64 bits e o BB Desktop nĂŁo tinha suporte para MS Office 64 bits. Por isso no inĂcio nĂŁo pude usar estas funcionalidades. Mas em algumas semanas ao conectar o 9800 no PC o prĂłprio software avisou de nova versĂŁo e esta dificuldade deixou de existir. Mas alĂ©m destas funcionalidades o Blackberry Desktop permite usar o Torch 9800 como modem 3G de Internet. Funciona de forma esplĂŞndida. No meu caso com chip da OI obtinha acesso a 1 Mbps e com Ăłtima navegabilidade no PC ou notebook. O usuário apenas deve tomar cuidado pois este acesso como “modem” poder ser e normalmente Ă© cobrado Ă parte pela operadora recomendo que verifique com a empresa antes de usar para nĂŁo ter surpresas. ConclusĂŁo O nome Blackberry Ă© muito forte no ambiente corporativo. Há muitas razões para isso como possibilidade de gerenciamento dos dispositivos, aplicação de polĂticas de segurança e privacidade, etc. Os aparelhos sempre foram eficazes, e atendendo bem as necessidades da empresa. Mas os smartphones de forma geral andaram evoluindo tambĂ©m para outras direções que os tornaram mais “legais” e tambĂ©m “pessoais”. O Blackberry Torch 9800 Ă© a resposta da RIM para esta nova caraterĂstica e demanda do mercado. É um Blackberry mas com toda a “roupa nova”. A começar pelo renovado sistema operacional que traz o novo navegador de Internet multi janelas, a interface “touch” e uma dinâmica de navegação muito moderna e agradável. A introdução do teclado virtual touch e a permanĂŞncia do Ăłtimo teclado “qwerty” marca registrada dos BB atende aos dois mundos de usuários habituados ou nĂŁo com o teclado virtual. ConexĂŁo 3G, rede WiFi padrĂŁo “n”, bluetooth, GPS, vasta quantidade de aplicativos embarcados e muitas opções na App Store completam as virtudes deste dispositivo. Se posso citar um “calcanhar de Aquiles” do 9800 Ă© a duração da bateria para quem faz uso muito intenso do telefone e das funções de email, MSN, rede sociais etc. Mas como o cabo USB que server para dar carga em sua bateria pode ser carregado facilmente, Ă© a recomendação para os “heavy users”.
